Lake Superior Law, PLLC was established in 2018 by Attorney Topher Davis as a means to provide a new level of legal counsel to his clients. Embracing new technology to lower costs and increase availability to clients is just one way Topher is looking to bring the best possible experience to today's generation of estate planning and business clients.
In both 2019 and 2020, Lake Superior Law, PLLC was voted as Best Law Firm in the Duluth News Tribune Best of the Best Awards.

Topher Davis is a native of Hermantown, MN and has been practicing law since 2011. After practicing in the traditional "old school law firm" environment for six years, he formed Lake Superior Law, PLLC in 2018 and practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Business Planning, Landlord/Tenant Law, Mediation and Sports Law. He received his undergraduate degree from The College of Saint Scholastica in 2006 and worked as Assistant General Manager of the Duluth Huskies Baseball Club in 2007 and 2008. From there, he went to Southern California where he received both his law degree and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of La Verne, graduating in 2011.
Topher has been licensed to practice in California since 2011 and Minnesota since 2012. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Minnesota and California and United States District Courts in Minnesota. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota 11th District Bar Association and the New Lawyers Section of the 11th District Bar Association.
Topher is also active within the community. In 2018, he served as President of the Board of Directors of the Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce where he continues as a member of the Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the NorthShore Inline Marathon, the largest inline marathon in North America. He is a 2017 graduate of the Leadership Duluth program of the Duluth Chamber of Commerce. He also is the "Voice of the Hawks" serving as public address announcer for Hermantown High School Boys' hockey games and the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage Girls' hockey games. He has served as a member of the City of Hermantown Board of Appeals & Adjustments and as a Volunteer with the Volunteer Attorney Program. He has been honored as a North Star Attorney by the Minnesota State Bar Association in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
From Spring Semester of 2018 through Spring Semester of 2020, Topher taught as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Superior where he taught courses in Civil Procedure and Personal Injury Litigation (Torts) within the Legal Studies Department.
In the Fall Semester of 2020, Topher began teaching as a Professor of Law at the University of La Verne College of Law teaching Torts, Civil Procedure, and Legal Analysis, Research and Writing.
